Rockville, Md., April 2011 – The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, taps K4 to provide additional personnel to support the placement of more than 14,000 doctors, nurses and other clinicians in underserved areas within the United States. This effectively doubles K4’s scope of work under this program, making K4 the largest contractor in the Parklawn HHS flagship facility.

K4 reviews countless applications and recommends the most highly-qualified clinicians for available positions. Examples of the underserved areas K4 supports include prisons, inner-cities and Native American reservations across the Nation. Most of the patients treated are uninsured, isolated and live below the poverty line.

“Our energized group is responsible for placing 14 thousand clinicians, and we’re looking to double this efforts over the next 5 years,” says David Powers, K4 Program Manager.
