    Haiti Relief Efforts

K4 employees are constantly thinking of new ways to give back to the community. When the catastrophic 7.0–magnitude earthquake struck the city of Port-au-Prince, Haiti on January 12, 2010, the employees of K4 extended helping hands across oceans and began gathering monetary and non-perishable donations for Haitians in need. K4 wrapped up their month-long Haiti Relief donation collection with the Haiti Relief Happy Hour, held at Eleventh Street Lounge on March 11, 2010. Big or small – it makes a difference. Extends Helping Hands to the DC Soup Kitchen

K4 in the Kitchen – D.C. Central Kitchen is not your stereotypical “soup kitchen.” Volunteers recycle over one ton of surplus food each day and turn it into 4,000 nutritious meals for the greater Washington, D.C. region. In January 2010, as part of our CSR program, we lined up on the assembly line with dozens of volunteers – chopping vegetables, packaging food, and singing along to Motown classics. Visit http://www.dccentralkitchen.org/ for more information on D.C. Kitchen’s food delivery, training, and employment program.
