Washington, DC, July 2010 – K4 Solutions, Inc. (K4), as a subcontractor to NCI Information Systems, Inc.(NCI), was awarded the Department of Defense (DoD) Rapid Response-Third Generation (R2-3G) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ). K4 will provide support for anti-terrorism and Federal defense arenas by developing solutions for “technology insertion, system integration/installation, fabrication/prototyping, testing/certification, studies/analyses, logistic support, and training and engineering support” (Solicitation No. W15P7T-08-R-E001, p3). Providing these technological solutions affords K4 the ability to be a part of the engineering and sustainment team that provide technology support for the Army worldwide.
This multiple award IDIQ vehicle, with a ceiling of $16.4 billion, is meant to provide critical equipment and engineering services to government system, platform, and item managers worldwide. All Federal agencies will have the ability to take advantage of this innovative IDIQ.
K4 joined NCI in order to create a flush team of small and large business. “K4 will utilize its niche capabilities and knowledge along with NCI’s resources to ensure the best technical solution for the Army,” says Vinay Raman, K4 Chief Technology Officer.
