K4 Participates in Annual American Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes

Falls Church, Va., December 2012 – Each year the American Red Cross provides assistance to more than 2 million service members and many of our nation’s 24 million veterans. During the holiday season, the Red Cross provides the nation with an opportunity to extend greetings and thanks to service members and veterans through the Holiday Mail for Heroes program.

K4 employees authored 100 holiday cards of gratitude, encouragement and well wishes to provide warm regards to armed forces and veterans who are away from their families. “We jumped at the opportunity to support the Red Cross’s mission to ‘give something that means something’ this holiday season”, says Kristal Morris. “The initiative is another way to say thank you to the men and women who give unselfishly of themselves all year. K4’s participation is also helping the Red Cross reach this year’s national goal of one million holiday cards.” Holiday cards were collected between October and early December and will be distributed to veterans, military families and active-duty service members at hospitals and installations around the world.

The Holiday Mail for Heroes program has received more than three million cards to date and is continuing to grow since its inception in 2006. From card making events, to promoting awareness about the program through social media, individuals and organizations nationwide have shown support of the cause.
